I was lucky with such a gorgeous floweer girl who was so great at posing for the camera!there are so many interesting things to use in photographs at guthrie inside and out!
I really had a lot of fun at this wedding, and I only cried a little bit at the ceremony! the outdoor setting was gorgeous, the bride & groom were gorgeous and the family and friends had a ball !

Here's a sneak peek from Chris & Claire's wedding, 24th July 2009. We battled the weather a lot on Friday and they were both game for some photos in the drizzle! on the plus side the weather let me capture some atmospheric skies!

The blue in the bouquet was stunning and matched the bridesmaid's Chella and Emily's dresses perfectly!

I just loved Claire's vintage style dress, the embroidery was gorgeous!

I photographed the wedding of Martin & Steph at Murrayshall in Perthshire recently, a stunning venue with amazing views!
I'm still working through the edits but I am using a couple of images for my print ad in "No1 for Weddings Magazine" so here they are below, A stunning couple.... here are two of the first and last photos of the day!

Wedding Discovery Elaine & Bruce 30th May

I've been very lax at blogging lately but will try and add in some more of my recent work!

On Saturday 30th May I photographed Elaine & Bruce's wedding at RSS Discovery in Dundee

It was a very relaxed wedding and I enjoyed taking the really informal images of the guests as they sipped (!) the champagne reception.

Here is a little taster (especially for Elaine's mum)

The first one below is Elaine being the anti-bride by laughing hysterically at poor Gary the Humanist Celebrant for getting the ceremony mixed up.

The bride's brother observed the solemnity of the ceremony by heckling the said celebrant!

He was later forgiven though!

Although Gary seemed to have taken his slip up quite hard!

I love when I get the opportunity to take some images of the wedding party without them noticing, I think it really show how relaxed the day was.

Elaine is a bride after my own heart, after toasting the Piper with Whisky she decided to have one herself....

Elaine and Bruce sneak away for a little time while I did some couples photographs and we had the whole of discovery to play on!

Newborn Model Call!

I've got some great ideas for newborns and I am trying to encourage mum & dad to schedule the shoots when baby is just a few days old. There really is a difference with what you can get when you have a "new" new baby.

To try out these new ideas I'm looking for "models" - newborns under 10 days (or therabouts) preferably.

Collette & Craig's Wedding Piperdam

Collette & Craig celebrated their wedding this week at Piperdam, they had been off to Jamaica to get married and had a great party for friends and family when they got home (how they coped with the cold when they returned from 2 weeks in the sunshine I don't know!)

Taking all these newborn pics is such a joy!
I'm working through the pics from Natasha's newborn shoot and I had to blog this one, Dad's a boxer just to explain (although I'd like to point out he doesn't box in pink gloves, we just changed the colout in post processing!)
It's lovely to incorporate something special in the newborn photos, last year we had Jamie curled up in his dad's motorcycle helmet and Zoe surrounded by Gerberas (her mum's a florist) it just makes the pics more personal and gives you something extra to choose from when picking your images to print. So please feel free to bring your own ideas to the portrait session, not everything works but I love trying new ideas!

well.... it may be quiet for weddings at this time of year but newborn portraits are certainly in demand.

I LOVE photographing newborns, the first 5 weeks or so are the best time with the hands still curled into little fists, my favourite!

How cute is this messy boy? and look at those eyes!

I love outdoor ceremonies! I seem to have had a few of these lately and the best thing for me is I can take lots of photographs during the ceremony without worrying about being noisy or moving and distracting people, and the couples always love the fact they get lots of ceremony shots to choose from.

I just love this portrait I think it has a very 40's movie star feel.

Just a couple of the many laughing shots I got! and check out the bouquet, very unusual and beautiful!

I'm very excited! I've finally managed to source a GOOD QUALITY greetings card supplier. I've been looking for a while but a lot of the card suppliers were not great quality. I am now pleased to offer 10 cards for £40, 20 cards at £65 and 30 cards at £85. In keeping with my new resolve to actually post on this blog we have 2 posts in a day!

I've managed to avoid torrential rain at all my weddings this year, until now!, though I have to say Claire & David had a beautiful day in the true sense of the word. It was wonderful to share a day with such a loving group of friends and family and despite having to run in the pouring rain to the church everyone had huge smiles on their faces all day. We did eventually get some dry weather to do a few outside shots just before the light faded. I had help today from Matthew Scharf http://www.scharfphotography.co.uk/ Thanks Matthew.

Gorgeous George

I haven't had a chance to update the blog much! I tried to have some holidays in between weddings and just got back, I did however manage to visit some very good friends and take some photos of adoreable "gorgeous george" I'll be sending some prints to mum and dad, especially the sleeping one as they might want to remind themselves that he actually does sleep!

It was lovely to spend time with such a happy new family and I got to take some photos too, heres one for now and I'll add more later

Well....my new website is just about there! it's still the same address www.lynnerobertson.com but it's much nicer to look at!

I've had a couple of weeks rest recently so had lots of time to play with it. It's got password protected web galleries so you can see your wedding photos before anyone else (although I will put some previews in the blog as usual)

The galleries are very sparse at the moment so I will be uploading the rest of the images Tue/Wed check back then to see them all
